Paula Elizabeth Baxter Fairchild, Ceo Of The Highly Successful Baxter-latham Investments, Didn't Want The Divorce In The First Place, But When She Saw That The Marriage Was Beyond Saving, She Determined To Make It As Costly For Her Husband As She Could. She Demanded A Sizable Cash Settlement, Although She Did Not Need It, And One-half Of His Classic Car Collection, Including Carlota, The 1953 Lincoln Capri Convertible She Frequently Drove. By Far Not The Most Valuable Of The Cars In The George Fairchild Collection, She Knew That Losing That Car Would Hurt Him The Most.
