Whishaw (1854-1934) Was A Russian-born British Novelist, Historian, Poet And Musician Who Was Both A Popular Author Of Children's Fiction At The Turn Of The 20th Century, With Many Of His School Stories And Adventure Serials Appearing In Boys' Magazines, And A Prolific Historical Novelist Who Often Used Czarist Russia As A Setting. This Cossack Adventure Novel Was First Published In 1902.
