Synopsis

Hope in the Storm is a non-fiction book that tells what domestic violence is like from the perspective of a law enforcement officer, from the angle of a nurse, and from the angle of a victim. Hope in the Storm points out many forms of abuse, from the more subtle forms of emotional abuse to the obvious physical abuse. Although Hope in the Storm does not advocate any victim staying in an abusive situation any moment longer, it shows the victim who is not ready to leave how they can prepare themselves to leave and how friends can help them for that day.
