Learning By Activity, Not Passive Absorption, Is The Goal. The Parts Of Speech Are Studied Separately To Show How They Help Build Ideas Into Sentences. This Early Section Of The Book Is Followed By The Chapters On Mechanical Skills. These Chapters Are Presented In Order Of Difficulty Or Logic (for Example, Students Frequently Confuse Plurals And Possessives, So These Two Chapters Are Presented In Sequence).
